About Understory’s Nursery

We grow and sell native wildflowers, grasses, and shrubs attuned to the river valleys and uplands of Northern New Mexico, as well as select medicinal and food starts.

We gather our seed from locally adapted ecotypes and trusted seed-saving networks.

You can shop with us in person at local farmers markets June-September or reserve plants in advance for market pickup. We also accept a limited number of custom orders for personal gardens, community spaces, small-scale eco restoration projects, and educational gardens.
